Observación del Cielo

With over 330 despajadas nights and one of the clearest skies on the planet makes the Atacama desert into a paradise for astronomers.

It is no surprise that major astronomical observatories permanently installed there. These observatories are not open to the public but are for professional astronomers.

There are some public observatories in Chile, the most recent and best equipped is in San Pedro de Atacama. The tour lasts 2 hours, with transportation included. The place of observation is 7 km. South of San Pedro, away from the lights. An important part of the tour is the observation of the sky with the naked eye of the constellations, the rotation of the sky, as directed with stars, etc. Then observation with telescopes takes us beyond, from the planets to the stars, star cluster, nebulae and distant galaxies.
